Four icons depicting a wheelchair, a brain, sign language, and a person walking with a caneThe Village of Pinehurst has recently completed a draft Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Assessment and Transition Plan, intended to identify barriers to those with disabilities and develop approaches to meet their needs. This draft plan represents a comprehensive review of buildings, sidewalk crossings, employment practices, and communication methods to identify potential issues and project a time frame for addressing those issues. As part of our commitment to ensuring inclusivity, the Village seeks public feedback on the draft plan to ensure we have appropriately identified deficiencies within the public realm and identified a time frame to address those.

Please review the draft plan, then leave your feedback and comments below. For those who wish to view a printed copy and provide written or verbal comments, contact Assistant Village Manager Jeff Batton by calling 910-295-1900, emailing jbatton@vopnc.org, or mailing comments to his attention at 395 Magnolia Rd., Pinehurst, NC 28374.

Public comment will be accepted through August 26, 2019. After staff has reviewed, evaluated, and incorporated comments received, the Village Council will be asked to adopt this plan, further committing the Village to ensuring inclusivity.
